Edgar Butler Jr. is a passionate speaker, leader, mentor, coach, and author of the book Clarify, Construct, and Control Your Career. Born in Bartow, FL and currently living in Suwanee, GA, Edgar has taken life lessons from many walks of life. He truly understands what it means to find your purpose in life and pursue it with passion!
After many years working various jobs, and also being fired, Edgar's resiliency pushed him to pursue an opportunity to join the corporate world working for the #1 P&C Insurer in the United States. With a relentless work ethic and a desire to succeed, he quickly climbed the corporate ladder. In his first nine years with the company he held eight different positions starting from entry level and working his way up to formal leadership. He truly understands the art of positioning and the value of building relationships in order to succeed.
As a corporate leader, Edgar has led teams responsible for managing multi-million dollar books of business. Wanting to make a larger impact on the organization Edgar took all of his experience and transitioned to Human Resources as a Talent Acquisition Specialist. Even with a thriving career, he still knew he was purposed to do more. This desire led Edgar to start Edgar Butler Jr and Associates, LLC, a consulting business for leadership and career development. Edgar has a gift for motivating and inspiring others to become their best. His passion for speaking life into others has allowed him to impact lives from corporate arenas to classrooms and from the streets to the church. Edgar is a leader in both his personal and professional life. He’s a man of faith, loving husband and father, a business owner, corporate leader, youth teacher, and mentor. To sum it up best, he’s a servant.

Career Readiness Package
Session 1: Personal branding – I will help you develop your brand and the role social media plays. We will also focus on developing a mindset focused on achieving the career you deserve.
Session 2: Industry research – I will teach you how to research your career of interest to determine what it takes to have a career in that field.
Session 3: Research follow-up and planning – We will break down your industry research and create a plan for pursuing a career in your field of interest. You will also learn the different avenues to gain valuable experience to increase your competitiveness.
Session 4: Resume building – You will learn how to create a competitive resume. We also have an option for creating a resume for you (additional cost).
Session 5: Interview preparation – We will prepare you to ace your future interview!
Session 6: Networking and relationship building – I will provide you with networking tips and how to transition into building relationships. You will also learn how to leverage social media for networking and relationship building.
Session 7: Final session – Discuss the connections you made from networking and I will answer any lingering questions.
During our sessions, we will focus on helping you reach your career goals by creating a plan specific to your needs. The plan will consist of establishing measurable goals while creating accountability to help you achieve the identified goals. We can determine how many times we need to meet per month based on your individual needs and budget.
